What a privilege it is to be chosen to be amongst the awesome women of Sisterfriends to be in the President's Spotlight. I come to you from Austin Texas by way of the Mile High City, Denver CO. I have been in Austin for 4 years and I must say that my life has completely changed. юридические консультации в москве тульская

I never, I mean never, would have thought that I would have embarked upon such a opportunity to take on such a responsibility as I did when I step forward to charter the Austin chapter. For those who know me, I am completely a "behind the scenes" kind of person. You want it done, I can make sure that happens. However I know that God is taking me out of the comfort zone that I have been in for so long so I am grateful for this opportunity that I have been given. President - Austin Chapter

The Austin Chapter is off and running strong. It is wonderful to be working with such an awesome group of women who are committed and dedicated to the vision of Sisterfriends founder, Michelle Johnson. I want to thank them all personally for wanting to join me in being a part of this organization The goal of the Austin Chapter is to make our presence known by getting out in the community and making a difference, not just in the lives of others but just as importantly our own lives. From our quarterly Mix and Mingles, to our participating in community walks/runs, to organizing community trips to sister cities for events that don't make it to Austin, to feeding the homeless on the day after Thanksgiving and ending the year with "A Sister's Love" (our exclusive Annual Holiday Project) in which this year during the holiday season we celebrate with the women and their children at the Women's Shelter, we are truly raising the standards and expectations of community service. Our mission is to bring "Sisterhood to the Community" and through our many efforts of community outreach we re doing just that.

I leave you a few of my favorite quotes…

"You can't plan for the future by looking in the rearview mirror"

"If you are going to compare yourself to anyone, compare yourself to Jesus. It will put your life in prespective."

"If a woman feels like a lady and is able to celebrate herself, she will attract into her life people who reflect her own opinion of herself."
