| Robin Hunt November 2003 Greetings Sisterfriends. My name is Robin Hunt and I am the VP of the Metro Detroit Chapter of Sisterfriends, additionally I also serve as the National Marketing Coordinator. It has been a wonderful experience to be involved with this organization and to see how much we have grown within our first year. That’s right November will mark the first anniversary of our chapter and we are very excited. Design your invention. Outsourcing CAD design service. 3D model design. I first became aware of SF through our chapter President and my very close friend, Alissa Terrell. 2002 proved to be a very challenging year for me however I knew that when I was going into the eye of storm I was going to come out of the tail victorious and I did. So when Sisterfriends was presented to me I knew it was time to give something back to my community as well as share my experiences (good and bad) with other African American women. rental townhome reno nv A little personal information about me……….. I am married and have been for 8 years to my buddy, Bobby W. Hunt Jr. We have two angels, Kyle Austin (4) and Talia Loren Louise (2). They keep us beyond busy but we are glad to have the blessing. I most recently completed a Real Estate course and will take the state boards soon to pursue a part time interest that I have had for many years. I’m currently in job search mode due to a recent position elimination at my company, so I don’t quite know what the future holds for me in this area but I’m looking forward to the challenges. I enjoy so many things but I’d have to say my favorite right now is event planning. Which I get to do a lot of being involved with SF and planning for the National Convention to come to Detroit in 2004! Other passions include basketball (yes—Kyle will be an NBA All Star!), reading, dancing, sewing and I’m a professed magazine junkie. From Cosmo to Honey -- I love it all! I’m really looking forward to the upcoming year with our chapter. We have some very fun fundraising events planned as well as the community activities we plan to participate in. I think it will be a season of growth and expansion as women in our community see MDCSF getting involved with a lot and want to join in. One of my favorite quotes that I use in my email signature is by Gandi, “I will not let anyone walk through my mind with dirty feet.” I remember the first time I read that and it really sunk in what he meant. If you don’t let the negative in you won’t put any negative out. Not bad words to live by………………… Until we meet, |
