Aiesha Turman

Originally from Rochester, NY, Aiesha has made New York City her home for the past eight years. A full time student and committed to social justice, Aiesha has worked with and volunteered with several non-profit and cultural institutions.

Ms. Turman is planning to obtain her PhD in American History and is currently involved in the Lipper Internship Program at the Museum for Jewish Heritage: A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Manhattan where she educates students in grades 6 to 12 about the Holocaust, social justice, and how they can use themselves to combat hate.

Also a writer and cultural commentator, Ms. Turman's work can be seen on Suite101, ThinkPop, the Author's Den and at StankMag.net.

She welcomes the chance to work with a diverse group of women of color to support them on their journey through life, as well as, serve the community in which she lives, works and plays.
